Description
The new 'Aveyron' Double Tulip has a magnificent spring flowering. In April-May, large double flowers of pink colour appear.
The flowers are perched on tall robust stems that withstand bad weather well. This 'Aveyron' tulip can reach about 40 cm (16in) in height when fully grown.
This is a tulip that has good hardiness. The double tulip fits perfectly in large flower beds. Pair it with other tulips to maximise the flowering season of the flower beds. It also goes perfectly with tall perennials. It can also be used in borders, rockeries, flower beds, as well as in pots and containers. These are also lovely flowers to cut and use in vases.

Planting and care
Place the 'Aveyron' double tulips preferably in a sunny spot from October to December for a beautiful spring flowering. You can also place them in a partially shaded area. Plant the bulbs as soon as possible in a light, fertile, and well-drained soil, loosened to a depth of 15 cm (6in) (bulbs should be covered with twice their height of soil). Space the bulbs 10 cm (4in) apart, making sure they do not touch; cut the flower stalks after flowering. Allow the leaves to dry completely before cutting them.

It will vary according to where you live:
- In zones 9 to 10 (Italy, Spain, Greece, etc.), flowering will occur about 2 to 4 weeks earlier.
- In zones 6 to 7 (Germany, Poland, Slovenia, and lower mountainous regions), flowering will be delayed by 2 to 3 weeks.
- In zone 5 (Central Europe, Scandinavia), blooming will be delayed by 3 to 5 weeks.
In temperate climates, pruning of spring-flowering shrubs (forsythia, spireas, etc.) should be done just after flowering.
Pruning of summer-flowering shrubs (Indian Lilac, Perovskia, etc.) can be done in winter or spring.
In cold regions as well as with frost-sensitive plants, avoid pruning too early when severe frosts may still occur.
