The TurnipĀ (Brassica rapa) is an ancient vegetable cultivated in the vegetable garden for its globular, long, semi-long or flat root. Easy to grow, Turnip seeds are sown in place for a harvest two months later. This vegetable can be stored for several months in dry sand in a cellar. Its colour varies from white, yellow like the Golden Ball Turnip, pink to violet or even black. Its taste, which has long been associated with a lack of flavour, is actually rather sweet and sometimes spicy. Turnip has diuretic, refreshing, and remineralising properties, and contains numerous vitamins.

You'll adore them!
