Variegated Ajuga

Our range of Ajugas or creeping bugles with variegated foliage. Just like Ajuga reptans 'Burgundy Glow' or 'Variegata', these small creeping perennials stand out for their delicately variegated foliage of white, cream, yellow, or even multicoloured in the case of the aptly named Ajuga reptans 'Multicolor' ('Rainbow'). Their evergreen vegetation, more or less persistent in winter, enhances the slightly shaded and cool places that they prefer. Thanks to their stolons, bugles spread and form carpets that are adorned with blue, pink, or white flowers in spring, depending on the varieties. Essential in cool, moist, and heavy, even clayey soils, these adorable perennials thrive in the shade of woodlands as well as on cool slopes in rockeries. Bugles are perfect for dressing the base of trees and bushes, in association with bushes, spring bulbs, or Lamiums with coloured foliage or elfin flowers (Epimedium) with graceful flowers and beautiful foliage.
