The Acaena, or burr, from the rose family, is a vigorous perennial, forming an original evergreen ground cover with discreet summer flowering followed by curious feathery fruits, very decorative. Originating mostly from New Zealand, this small carpet plant comes in various colours depending on the species and varieties: green-blue in the Acaena buchananii, bronze-green in the Acaena microphylla, or purple in the inermis Purpurea cultivar. Mix them to create a colourful tapestry throughout the year! The Acaena is hardy in most areas. Plant it in a sunny or semi-shaded position, in moist soil.

You'll love them!
