Squash seeds

The Calabash or Gourd – Lagenaria siceraria – is a climbing herbaceous plant cultivated for its fruit. In spring, after a show of large white flowers, it produces round fruits with a neck, resembling a bottle or an amphora. Some varieties can be cooked like zucchinis if the fruit is consumed immature. It is mainly cultivated for its uses once dried. The Calabash, like the Pelerine Gourd or the Flat Corsican Gourd, is used as a container, kitchen utensil, musical instrument, or as decorative objects like candle holders.
