All our red-flowered peonies.

There are three main categories of peonies: herbaceous perennials, like Chinese or Japanese peonies and wild species such as the wonderful botanical peony tenuifolia, tree peonies, and Itoh hybrids born from happy marriages between the first two. Regardless of its category, the peony is one of the favourite flowers of gardeners. We love their single or double flowers, sometimes scented, which can be enjoyed both in borders and in bouquets, with lilacs or Iris for example. These plants, which are a bit slow to establish but have a good lifespan, will allow you to create a wonderful display. In the garden, red goes particularly well with white, pink, blue, and the whole range of mauves. In the colour wheel, the complementary colour to red is none other than green. All shades of red exist in peonies, from scarlet red to purple, passing through red-orange and coral.

You'll adore them!
