Perennial Geraniums, vigorous, hardy, and easy to grow in the garden or in pots, are sometimes distinguished by their colourful, variegated, or even very dark foliage, which enhances the colour of the flowers and adds a touch of whimsy to any setting. They are captivating with their chocolate colour with silver reflections in the Perennial Geranium 'Bob's Blunder', for example, or, conversely, with their golden and very bright hue in the geranium 'Blue sunrise' and even more so in 'Ann Folkard'. Many of them, like Geranium x magnificum and its cultivars, display sumptuous autumn colours, as ornamental as their flowering. With various shapes and colours, in blue, pink, magenta, or purple, with deciduous or evergreen foliage, velvety and silver in Geranium renardii, in full sun or shade according to their preference, you can use low-growing varieties as ground covers or in containers, and taller varieties as background plants in flower beds.
