Our range of Iresine, plants with colourful leaves for vibrant decoration. Add some colour to your interior with Iresines, also known as "blood leaf" because of their bright red to purple hues. Iresine herbstii ‘Blazin’ Rose’ is the flagship variety, with bicoloured pink and red leaves that enhance any room. Ideal for a tropical and modern look! Among other stars, discover Iresine lindenii, with intense purple foliage veined with pink, or the diffuse Iresine, with softer shades, but equally decorative. Compact varieties like Iresine herbstii ‘Aureoreticulata’, with its green leaves veined with yellow, are more sophisticated.
Iresine belong to the Amaranthaceae family and are native to South America, particularly Brazil. These tender perennial plants are distinguished by their sculptural foliage. Compact, they generally reach between 20 and 40 cm in height; their habit is bushy and well-branched. Iresines enjoy bright light, even a bit of direct sunlight to intensify their colours, but they also tolerate partial shade. Water them moderately, allowing the substrate to dry slightly between waterings. A rich, well-drained soil will suit them perfectly, and a temperature between 18 and 25 °C will keep them in top shape.
