Our range of Fruitful Saskatoon Bushes. These hardy and ornamental bushes charm with their beautiful spring flowering followed by tasty berries in summer. The Amelanchier canadensis, highly prized, offers small sweet fruits reminiscent of blueberries, perfect for jams or fresh consumption. The Amelanchier alnifolia 'Obelisk', with its slender habit, is ideal for small gardens and produces abundant fruits. The Amelanchier lamarckii charms with its bronze leaves and juicy berries delicious for jams. The Amelanchier alnifolia 'Thiessen', appreciated for its large sweet berries, can be generously harvested from late spring. The cultivar 'Smoky', on the other hand, produces slightly larger and sweeter fruits than other varieties, excellent for baking.
Saskatoon bushes prefer a light, fresh, well-drained soil, and a sunny or semi-shaded exposure. They are easy to maintain and tolerate cold well. A light pruning after flowering is sufficient.
