The bignone is a generous climbing liana with trumpet-shaped flowers, traditionally red-orange in color. New cultivars come in salmon orange (Indian summer) or blood red (Stromboli). However, be aware of its average hardiness: in cold regions, it must be planted in a sheltered location.
