Lupins are hardy perennial or annual plants depending on the species. Their ornamental and unique foliage is compound and palmate. The upright flowering spikes can reach 60 cm (24in). The often two-coloured flowers can be blue, red, yellow, pink, or white. Lupins are easy to grow and also make colourful cut flowers. Plant your lupins in full sun or partial shade in light, well-drained, cool soil.
