The large-fruited tomato – Solanum lycopersicum – refers to all varieties whose average fruit weight exceeds 200 g. The record for a tomato is over 3 kg and has been awarded to the Burpee's delicious Tomato. That's enough to feed a whole family for several meals! Their uses depend on the volume, texture, and sugar content of the fruit. To harvest beautiful juicy and sweet tomatoes, sunlight, warmth, and water play a determining role.
