The Alstroemeria or Peruvian Lily are sun-loving plants. Their trumpet-shaped flowers create a colourful spectacle in flowerbeds or on terraces. The compact Inticanchas are perfect for pots or borders. The taller Peruvian Lilies are commonly used as cut flowers. Plant them in well-drained soil in a sunny spot, and mulch them in winter as they are sensitive to extreme cold.
