Also known as Money Plant or Silver Dollar Plant, Lunarias (Lunaria in Latin) belong to the family of Brassicaceae, also called crucifers, in reference to the shape of the flowers consisting of 4 petals in the shape of a cross. Annuals, biennials or perennials, Lunarias are characterized by large translucent fruits called siliqua. They easily self-seed and the faded flower stalks are highly appreciated in the making of dried bouquets. Easy to grow, they prefer rich, moist and deep soil. Although they tolerate sunlight, it is in partial shade that they become spectacular.

You'll adore them!
