Grasses undulate in the wind and make excellent ornaments for your gardens. This family of ornamental plants, grasses, now called poaceae, also includes plants from the juncaceae and cyperaceae families. Low species such as Carex, Pennisetum, Stipa or Hakonechloa, are recommended for flowerbeds and pots as they are decorative even in winter. The tall ones: Miscanthus, Calamagrostis and Molina, can be used as isolated plants and in the background of your flowerbeds. The majority of them tolerate sunlight, wind, and drying soils. Grasses provide great structure and blend well with tall flowering bulbs such as dahlias, and many perennials to which they add lightness and volume.
