The Agrimony is a pretty and wild plant found in our countryside and is otherwise known as the Agrimonia eupatoria, It is a perennial plant of the Rosaceae family. It is widely used in herbal medicine. Flowering all summer, adorned with a flowering in upright spikes of golden yellow or white flowers that is charming, is also a flower that attracts bees. A neighbouring Icelandic species, but taller, called Agrimonia procera, is less commonly offered in the horticultural trade. Originally from Europe and Asia, the Agrimonia eupatoria is naturally found throughout the country, always in sunny situations and often in 'wild' places on soils rich in nitrates. Truly undemanding, the agrimonia eupatoria is truly"hardy" in the literal sense: it is not afraid of cold, limestone, or fairly dry soils in summer. This perennial is particularly suitable for slightly wild gardens. Give it a place in a healing garden or vegetable garden alongside other aromatic plants or edible plants such as Angelica archangelica, Verbena officinalis, and Roman Chamomile.
