Achilleas are hardy perennial plants with deciduous foliage. The often aromatic green or grey leaves are feathery and dentate. The decorative aspect of the foliage, which can reach a height of 80 cm (32in), is ideal in a wild garden. The flowering is long and abundant, repeating from summer to autumn. Plant Achilleas in an open and sunny spot in moist and well-drained soil. The red flowering of Achillea Cassis is striking. Achillea ptarmica Double Diamond is dazzling with its abundant white flowering.
