Pink-flowered stonecrops are succulent perennials that flower from summer to early autumn. Some spread into a carpet in rockeries and on low walls, while others form upright clumps in beds. All appreciate sun and well-drained soil, even if it is poor, stony, dry or chalky.

Sedum spectabile 'Brilliant' bears large, bright pink flowerheads in September on a clump approximately 40 cm tall. Taller, 'Matrona' has purple stems, green foliage tinged with bronze and powder pink flowers. The variety SunSparkler® 'Dazzleberry' spreads into a very low, blue-grey cushion covered with raspberry pink flowers in late summer. Sedum spurium 'Fuldaglut' forms a carpet of purple leaves punctuated with deep pink.

The tall autumn stonecrops are suitable for beds and wide borders, while ground-covering stonecrops easily find a place between stones or along a path. Our guide "Stonecrops: how to plant, grow and propagate them" will help you prepare the soil and care for these undemanding perennials.
