Ajugas or creeping bugles have glossy dark green or brown leaves and create excellent evergreen groundcover. Thanks to their stolons, they spread rapidly and form dense carpets of blue, pink, or white flowers depending on the varieties. An essential perennial in damp, moist, and heavy or clay soils. They thrive both in the shade of the undergrowth and on the damp slopes of rockeries.
