Verbena

Officinale or Citronnelle, Verbena belongs to the Verbenaceae family. These are perennial plants grown in the herb garden or vegetable garden for the fragrance of their leaves. Lemon verbena (Lippia or Aloysia triphylla) is a subshrub with a bushy habit that also has its place in the ornamental garden. It is sensitive to cold and requires protection such as covering or mulching for winter. Common verbena (Verbena officinalis) is a hardy herbaceous perennial with discreet white-blue flowers. The leaves can be preserved, dried, and used in cooking or in herbal teas and infusions to aid digestion and promote sleep.
