Foxgloves or Lady's Gloves are melliferous, herbaceous, perennial and hardy plants. Their stems bear tubular flowers from June to September, arranged in spikes and reaching up to 1.5 metres in height. Their colours range from white to cream and from pink to purple, and may be speckled. The leaves form a tuff at the base of the plant. Foxgloves prefer to be grown in partial shade in moist and rich soil.
