Pumpkins of the Cucurbitaceae family, sometimes called Potimarron, squash or pumpkin, is a vegetable plant cultivated for its compact and voluminous fruit used as a vegetable. The sowing is done in pots in a sheltered location from April or in place from May after the last frosts. Some pruning is necessary to ensure a good fruiting. Harvested in autumn, Pumpkins are, in our imagination, the emblematic vegetable of this season with the 'Atlantic Giant' Pumpkin or 'Gargantua' Pumpkin which holds all the records for the largest pumpkin in the world.
