The aconite is a perennial plant for partial shade that offers, from June to October, magnificent upright flowers sometimes up to 1.5 metres (5 feet) above the ground. There are numerous species and the wolf's bane aconite is well known for its toxicity. the most sought-after is the napel aconite, nothing can match the intensity of its blue! The aconite thrives almost anywhere, in rich and moist soil. It is a perfect plant for creating magnificent backgrounds for flowerbeds or for creating beautiful vertical lines.
