Long-flowering asters

Do you love asters and a garden in bloom from summer to autumn? The varieties in this selection flower for more than two months. They bring colour to beds and borders, beneath the ceaseless flight of pollinating insects. Tall or small, white, pink, mauve or blue, asters are excellent perennials for the garden and for bouquets.

Among them, Aster frikartii 'Mönch' produces large lavender-blue Shasta daisies from July to October; 'Flora’s Delight', belonging to the same group of hybrids, stands out with its lilac-pink hues. Aster pyrenaeus 'Lutetia' flowers from July to September in lilac-blue, while Aster divaricatus 'Beth Chatto' is covered with a multitude of small white stars during the same period, even in partial shade. This prolonged flowering naturally depends on the growing conditions for each variety: a suitable aspect and soil that is not too dry in summer.
