Delphiniums or larkspurs are hardy perennial plants or annual plants depending on the species. Delphiniums are highly ornamental with their tall flower stalk that can measure over a metre. The flowers bloom in summer. Long spikes bear the flowers, which can be blue, white or pink in colour. The range of shades is very broad and the colours varied. Delphiniums also make for stunning bouquets. Cultivate Delphiniums in full sun in a well-drained and rich soil.
