Our bicoloured or bitonal Japanese Anemones. The single or double flowers of these Japanese anemones are neither entirely pink nor solid white. Those of the Anemone x hybrida 'Dainty Swan' are pink with purple reverses, white with mauve reverses for its sister 'Wild Swan', or even in two shades of pink for the variety 'Splendens' for example. The flowers of these perennials, light and graceful, are perfect for adding a lovely touch of colour at the end of the season in the slightly shaded areas they prefer. Depending on the varieties, they spread and sucker to form beautiful colonies in the back of borders, while others stay obediently in place, in the garden or in a pot. They are plants with a delicate appearance, but with a fairly robust temperament, ideal for bringing life to the garden, balcony or terrace in late summer and autumn. They grow easily in all types of soil as long as they remain moist during the flowering period.
