Pilosocereus, or blue torch cacti, are perfect for a modern and minimalist decor. They are eye-catching with their slender silhouette and striking bluish hues. Pilosocereus pachycladus is the star of the genus with its pronounced midribs and steel-blue colour. Pilosocereus azureus, which displays an even more intense blue, is ideal for a bright spot. Also try Pilosocereus magnificus, which can grow to over 2 m indoors!
Native to Central and South America, these plants from the Cactaceae family love bright light and a well-draining substrate like special cactus soil. Provide them with a pot with drainage holes and allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. In winter, reduce watering to encourage their dormancy.
