This ultra lightweight and practical weeder with a 100cm (39in) T-handle, made of aluminium, is equipped with a spiralled head, ideal for loosening without breaking the taproots of many 'weeds' by a simple rotating motion. Its stainless steel head easily penetrates even heavy soils. Directions for use The Wondern Weed Puller is an essential tool for successfully extracting so-called taproots, which are very well anchored in the soil and difficult to pull out without breaking. They are found in many 'weeds' such as dandelions, plantains, thistles, sowthistles, comfrey, wild chervil, celandine, purslane, picris, and dock. To destroy this type of plant, it is necessary to remove at least the first 5-7 centimetres (2-3 inches) of the root along with the rosette of leaves. Work after rain or watering, as moistened soil will greatly facilitate the weeding operation. It is also preferable to intervene on young plants, whose roots will be less developed and have not had time to reseed. The weed puller is inserted into the soil at the neck of the plant (at the base of the leaves, at ground level), while simultaneously turning and pressing on the handle, as if using a corkscrew. The spiral descends all around the root and cuts the rootlets, leaving only the task of pulling it out of the soil and pressing the button to discard the weed.
