Clematis Pistacho

Clematis Pistachio is a beautiful climbing perennial with large white flowers with pistachio highlights.

In April/May and then October, this robust plant, reaching  4m (13ft) high, is covered with 10cm (4in) wide, single flowers with 6 petals which are white with pistachio highlights and purple anthers. Its deciduous oval medium green leaves, 8cm (3in) long, are carried by twining stems that wrap around their support with tendrils.

Clematis Pistachio prefers clay-siliceous, well-worked, deep, moist, fertile soil, in a sunny position with its base in the shade. You can use ground cover plants to achieve this. This clematis can be susceptible to aphids!

Clematis Pistachio climbs trellises, fences, arches, trees and bushes. It will look great in a container on a terrace. Combine several species of clematis or pair it with a climbing rose.

Tips: Avoid excessive fertiliser that stimulates foliage at the expense of flowers. Do not mulch, to avoid excessive moisture that can promote clematis wilt.
