Planting and care

Plant your tulips as soon as possible in loose, well-drained soil at a depth of 15 cm (6in) (Bulbs should be covered with soil twice their height). Space the bulbs a little apart, making sure they do not touch each other. Choose a sunny exposure for better flowering. After flowering, cut the flower stalks but let the leaves dry completely before cutting them. After flowering, their foliage becomes unsightly, so we recommend planting Heucheras, Foamflowers, Brunneras, Bleeding Hearts or Cypress Spurge at the forefront of your flowerbeds, their foliage will enhance the colours of your tulips and elegantly hide their yellowed leaves.
