Collection items (5 plants)

Description

Collection of 5 trailing Star Dreams verbena plants. We have chosen this range of colours (white, pink, starry white blue, lavender, and violet) for a successful effect on your terraces and balconies.

Verbena plants are appreciated for their intense colours and abundant flowering that lasts all summer.

They need a bright exposure to flower well. They withstand drought and heat quite well.

Green plants measuring 4 to 8cm (2 to 3in) in plug plant trays of 5 small plugs with a diameter of 2.8cm (1in) and a height of 4cm (2in), labelled separately. Our plants are at least eight weeks old and are strong enough to be planted in the ground.

Please note: Our young plug plants are professional products reserved for experienced gardeners: upon receipt, transplant and store them under shelter (veranda, greenhouse, cold frame etc.) at a temperature above 14C° for a few weeks before planting them outdoors once the risk of frost has definitively passed.

Planting and care

You can plant your verbenas in the ground or in a pot. If you want to plant them in the ground, wait until the last heavy frosts have passed (verbenas can tolerate a small late frost). In the meantime, you can pre-cultivate them in a warm and bright place in a pot to accelerate their growth. Plant your verbenas in a sunny location. They need well-draining soil. They tolerate drought well. Water regularly but not excessively. Very floriferous and fast-growing, they are hungry plants. We recommend feeding them with a liquid fertiliser for containers once or twice a week during the growing season. Remove faded flowers and dry leaves as they appear to keep them looking good and prolong flowering.
