Fuchsias are perennial shrubs grown as annuals because they are often frost-sensitive. They bear abundant trailing bell-shaped flowers for several months, single or double and often bicoloured. These plants have opposite, simple and lanceolate leaves. Native to South America, Fuchsias thrive in a humus-rich, well-drained, fertile soil with filtered light and high humidity. Growing them in pots allows for overwintering in a conservatory at 10/15°C after cutting them back by half, then bringing them back in May. Fuchsias are used to create beautiful pots or hanging baskets and in summer beds and planters with various annuals. Fuchsias tolerate shade well.

You'll love them!
