Description

Floriferous perennial herbaceous plants that are always noticeable in a garden. Plants grown in small pots with only one stem often yield poor results when planted, so we grow them for an extra year in larger pots to promote branching, for better establishment in the garden.

Lovely, stout variety with very double flowers, quickly changing from mauve blue to intense violet. An excellent variety for a small garden that also comes true from seed.

Note: From March to September, the stems of our delphiniums are pruned short to promote better branching and achieve optimal rooting. This also prevents the stems from breaking during transport.

Planting and care

Delphiniums are not difficult to grow but dislike heavy and wet soils, as well as dry and poor soils. The soil that suits them is fertile, rich in humus, not compact, moist, even in summer, but without excess wet in winter, and sheltered from strong winds. Under these conditions, they will live for many years. Also beware of slugs and snails, which can cause damage at the beginning of growth.
