Thanks to the individuals (for order preparation and shipping), the rose bush I received appears to be healthy. Planted near a Prunus serrulata Kanzan, I am now patiently waiting for it to take root... or not?

Description

The Rosanatura 'Rosea' Rose bush is endowed with the same major qualities as the Decorosiers, with the addition of fragrance and a decidedly natural style, ideally in tune with the times. It is a bush that is both resistant and floriferous, adorned for months with small light pink flowers with yellow hearts gathered in generous panicles. Their subtle fragrance attracts pollinators throughout the summer, while the small fruits they produce animate the garden until winter. Easy, gracious, and undemanding, this landscape rose gives much without requiring much maintenance. Simple and charming, it blends with other flowers and will find its place in any garden.

The Rosanatura 'Rosea' Rose (Vispaniuc') is part of a new generation of landscape roses with a more "wild" appearance, developed, edited, and distributed by Verdia in partnership with Globe Planter. The varieties that make up this collection are all cultivated in France. They are both fragrant, floriferous, repeat-flowering, highly resistant to diseases, and low water-demanding.

This Rosanatura 'Rosea' rose is classified as a modern shrub and landscape rose. Its small, fragrant flowers grouped in long panicles may come from Rosa multiflora, renowned for its exceptional robustness. The plant forms an upright bush, slightly taller than wide, about 1.20 m (4ft) in height and 1 m (3ft) wide, depending on the growing conditions. It is very floriferous and continuously produces an abundance of single flowers measuring 3-4 cm (1-2in), with five petals. They emit a sweet, light scent and are gathered on long flower heads. After pollination, small round fruits form, which are reddish when mature. Its healthy foliage consists of small, slightly glossy, bright green leaves covering thorny stems. This hardy variety adapts to any well-prepared soil.

The Rosanatura 'Rosea' can be used in containers, flower beds, large spaces, slopes, or low hedges. It adapts to all soils that are not too wet and all climates, allowing it to be planted anywhere. It has a bushy growth habit ideal for low shrub borders when paired with other Rosanatura or Decorosier varieties such as Vesuvia, Isalia, and Emera. When planted en masse, it can also border pathways and highlight flower beds. For example, it can be combined with perennial geraniums (Geranium Blue Cloud, Anne Folkard, Nimbus, Orion), bellflowers (lactiflora, rapunculoides), catmints, lavenders, snapdragons, foxgloves, or other Stachys. Left to grow freely, it will form a bush with a natural appearance, perfect for adding a touch of rustic charm to the patio.

Planting and care

Roses prefer a sunny spot (at least 4 to 5 hours of sunshine daily) but away from the scorching midday sun and strong winds. Roses like loose, permeable, humus-rich soil. They prefer slightly acidic soil but will get used to any garden if the soil is well-worked and sufficiently rich.  To plant your rosebush in a pot, cultivate the soil to a depth of 25 cubic cm, crumbling the soil well and placing a soil improver such as blood, fish and bone at the bottom of the planting hole. After removing the plant from its pot, cover the top of the root ball with 3 cm of soil. In dry weather, water regularly for a few weeks to help the plant take root. You should also remember to fertilise your rosebush with special rose fertiliser to stimulate flowering, especially if planted in a pot.

You don't have to prune, but if you want to, you can do it at the end of winter. This will help clean up old wood and shorten some branches to 2/3 of their growth.

Roses may develop unsightly spots at the end of summer, but this is a natural occurrence and doesn't harm the rose's growth.
