It arrived in good condition, I hope it will thrive, but we'll see in the spring.

Planting and care

Very easy to grow and low maintenance, Helianthemum enjoys being planted in full sun, in well-drained, even dry, neutral or limestone soil that is rich in gravel or sand. It does not tolerate stagnant moisture in winter, especially in cold and humid climates, so it will be necessary to lighten the soil during planting by adding gravel and sand to improve drainage. It is a very hardy plant that can withstand temperatures between -15 and -20°C (5 and -4°F). It tolerates drought very well and only requires regular and moderate watering in the first year after planting; afterwards, the plant can manage on its own. At the end of flowering, pinch the faded stems and foliage to encourage autumn regrowth. A light pruning of the clump with hedge shears can be done after flowering to maintain a dense habit and prevent the centre from becoming bare.
