I don't know if a stem will emerge from this pot, but for now, there is only a bit of soil.

Description

Chionochloa conspicua is a very tall evergreen species, graceful in appearance, similar to Pampas Grass (Cortaderia selloana), but finer, lighter, and more airy. The large feathery inflorescences are pure white. We have planted it in our grass garden, but our region (northern France) lacks the summer heat for it to fully express its generosity. These plants, native to volcanic mountainous regions, require a well-drained, porous, and rocky soil, free from limestone, in full sun. They dislike confinement and moisture. They are only truly hardy in these dry and warm conditions, but once you find the right spot for them, they are truly magnificent.
