Winter fleece tunnel 0.60 x 5 m (16ft)
To add to my previous comment, this tunnel is not at all durable. From the second winter (I only use it for a few months in the year!), it falls apart despite the care I took to make it last. To be avoided. Very expensive for only one and a half winters of use.

This accordion-style pre-assembled tunnel is very easy to set up and move. It protects against the cold thanks to its 60g/m2 fleece which also allows the plants to breathe. This device can advance or extend harvests by 2 to 4 weeks depending on the region. It is composed of a fleece with integrated steel hoops. The accordion system allows for adjusting its length according to the size of the garden and fully folding it for storage.
Fully unfolded dimensions: 0.60m (2ft) width x 5m (16ft) length x 43cm (17in) height.
Features: reusable winter fleece, equipped with hoops
This winter tunnel is made of translucent polyethylene with remarkable thickness, which gives it excellent resistance to mechanical shocks and good thermal performance. It allows sunlight to pass through while allowing excess heat and moisture released by the plants' respiration to escape through small holes. It also serves as an effective physical barrier against wind and hail showers. Thanks to the material, the heat accumulated during the day, mainly at ground level, will be released to the seeds or plants during the night, which activates germination, growth, flowering, and fruit ripening. Once the season is over, you can fold this tunnel to take up very little space.
Sowing and cultivating frost-sensitive plants can be done very early in the spring (earlier or later depending on the region), as long as you have an efficient forcing tunnel. This device, which is extremely simple to implement, will allow for earlier harvesting in the season, as well as over a longer period for vegetables such as leeks or lettuces. This cultivation method is suitable for sowing carrots, lettuce and radishes, as well as creating strawberry beds or even melons and other trailing plants. Install the tunnel sheltered from the wind and in full sunlight. Remember to water your crops, especially when its sunny.

Hardiness is the lowest winter temperature a plant can endure without suffering serious damage or even dying. However, hardiness is affected by location (a sheltered area, such as a patio), protection (winter cover) and soil type (hardiness is improved by well-drained soil).
In temperate climates, pruning of spring-flowering shrubs (forsythia, spireas, etc.) should be done just after flowering.
Pruning of summer-flowering shrubs (Indian Lilac, Perovskia, etc.) can be done in winter or spring.
In cold regions as well as with frost-sensitive plants, avoid pruning too early when severe frosts may still occur.
The harvesting period indicated on our website applies to countries and regions in USDA zone 8 (France, England, Ireland, the Netherlands).
In colder areas (Scandinavia, Poland, Austria...) fruit and vegetable harvests are likely to be delayed by 3-4 weeks.
In warmer areas (Italy, Spain, Greece, etc.), harvesting will probably take place earlier, depending on weather conditions.
The sowing periods indicated on our website apply to countries and regions within USDA Zone 8 (France, UK, Ireland, Netherlands).
In colder areas (Scandinavia, Poland, Austria...), delay any outdoor sowing by 3-4 weeks, or sow under glass.
In warmer climes (Italy, Spain, Greece, etc.), bring outdoor sowing forward by a few weeks.
The planting period indicated on our website applies to regions in USDA Zone 9a (East Coast and Midlands: Dublin, Wexford, Waterford, Kilkenny, Portlaoise). It will vary depending on where you live:
- On the west coast and in the north-west (Galway, Limerick, Sligo, Donegal, Westport), delay planting by 1 to 2 weeks in spring and bring it forward by 1 to 2 weeks in autumn compared to the dates given, preferably choosing periods without strong winds.
- In the inland hills and plateaus (Wicklow Mountains, Macgillycuddy’s Reeks, Connemara, Killarney), it is best to plant in spring (April–May) or autumn (September–October), avoiding periods of waterlogged soil in winter and strong winds, which pose the main risk to newly planted trees in these areas.
The flowering period indicated on our website applies to regions in USDA Zone 9a, such as the East Coast and Midlands, including Dublin, Wexford, Waterford, Kilkenny and Portlaoise.
This will vary depending on where you live:
- On the west coast and in the northwest (Galway, Limerick, Sligo, Donegal and Westport), it will be delayed by one to two weeks compared to the given dates, due to stronger Atlantic winds and less spring sunshine.
- In the inland hills and plateaus (the Wicklow Mountains, the Macgillycuddy's Reeks, Connemara and Killarney), flowering will be delayed by two to three weeks. Flowering mainly occurs between May and July, with the limiting factors being less frost and more of the excessive humidity, strong winds and lack of sunshine that are characteristic of these areas.
