The Geranium x cantabrigiense, whose variety 'Biokovo' is undoubtedly the most well-known, is a hardy perennial plant that forms a vigorous evergreen ground cover. This natural hybrid is the result of cross-breeding between the Geranium dalmaticum from the Balkan coast and the G. macrorrhizum, a southern plant adapted to dry summers. It has a fairly compact habit, spreads slowly via stolons, and offers continuous summer flowering in the form of small flat flowers in pink tones in 'Karmina' or Cambridge, mauve or white. Its leaves are fuzzy and fragrant and take on beautiful autumnal hues. Ideal for a natural garden, it is hardy in winter and tolerates summer heat in partial shade. It will quickly add a touch of colour to perennial beds, elegantly highlight the curve of a path, and be welcome at the base of your precious plants without smothering them. It will also find its place on balconies, terraces, in containers, as a border, in rockeries, and flower beds.

You'll adore them!
