This professional uprooting spade is made of a handle made of ash wood, a high-quality wood that is light, flexible, and resistant to shocks, paired with a steel spade blade with a polished finish. It is the most commonly used tool by horticulturalists cultivating large, deep-rooted plants in open ground. Its long, sharpened spade blade is perfect for cutting through soil and roots at greater depths! This is particularly useful for uprooting and removing shrubs and hedges and for precision landscaping work.

Dimensions: head: 38 x 14 cm (6in) - handle length: 85 cm (34in)

The terracing and uprooting spade with a longer, narrower blade is mainly used for digging holes and deep excavations or uprooting trees and shrubs. To do this, the spade must be driven into the ground, using its weight to press against the handle. The handle is then tilted backwards to lift and turn the soil. The sharpened edge of the blade and the "T" handle of this spade allow for a better concentration of physical effort to penetrate the soil more easily. It is a tool that is also used to easily uproot perennial stumps and divide them into clumps that can be replanted elsewhere in the garden. Its narrow blade is better suited for working on rugged terrain.

Directions for use The terracing and uprooting spade, with a longer and narrower iron, is used to dig deep and precise holes or to uproot trees and bushes. To do this, you need to push the spade into the soil, using its weight to press against the handle. Repeat this motion several times if you need to cut through a stump. Then, insert the iron underneath the hole and tilt the handle backwards to lift the clod. This tool is also used to easily remove and divide perennial stumps into clumps that can be replanted elsewhere in the garden. Its narrow iron is better suited for working on rugged terrains such as clay or hard soils.
