This spade will be appreciated for its manoeuvrability and its versatility of use. This garden tool has a long handle made of hard wood, measuring 115cm (45in) that will let you work while protecting your back. It boasts a hand-forged, electrolytically treated steel blade that measures 23cm (9in). It is designed for working and turning light and loose soils or sandy terrains in small areas. It can also be used for making planting holes and moving small clumps of soil using the lever-throw technique. This tool comes with a 2-year warranty.

This electrolysed steel spade is equipped with a hardwood handle for leverage and a sturdy hand-forged electrolysed steel blade. It is a "two-in-one" garden tool, designed to move small amounts of soil or spread fertilisers on small surface areas. Its triangular shape is perfect for moving small clumps of soil with a lifting-jet motion. You can also use this tool to work and turn light soils and sandy terrains, or prepare planting holes.

Technical specifications:

- Trowel blade: 23cm (9in) height x 21cm (8in) width

- Handle length: 115cm (45in)

- Ash wood handle

- Weight: 1.3kg

It is designed to move small clumps of soil thanks to the inclined position of the blade in relation to the handle. It can also be used to turn and crumble soil deeply, in light soils and on small surface areas. Fertiliser (well-decomposed compost, organic fertiliser, horse manure) can be incorporated into the soil at the same time it is turned over. With its sharp edges, it is also perfect for digging and cutting roots. This model consists of an ash wood handle, known for its hardness and lightness, with a metal ferrule and a hand-forged blade made of electrolysed steel that is resistant to shocks, torsion, and corrosion. The handle is compostable, and the metal head is recyclable.

Directions for use The steel shovel by Gschwind is used to move small amounts of soil or to spread fertilisers accurately on small surface areas. Its triangular shape is perfect for moving small clumps of soil with a lift-and-throw motion. You can also use this tool to cut or scrape certain areas of your garden. We recommend cleaning it with a hard brush after each use and storing it away from moisture. Once a year, you can sand the handle with fine sandpaper and oil it with a mixture of linseed oil and turpentine for easier application. Dilute half and half. Use boiled linseed oil for faster drying.
