PKS
This traditional copper alloy hoe, with its long lime wood handle and sharp blade fixed on a necked socket for added power, will become the friend of your vegetable garden and your back by cutting the roots of weeds. This tool is under a 2-year warranty.

This traditional copper Sabik model weeder from the PKS Bronze range, a homonymous brand of the famous Austrian ecologist and naturalist, is equipped with a lime wood handle and a copper alloy head, ideal for naturally weeding flower beds and vegetable gardens. This sharp blade cuts young and tender weeds at the neck. The copper head, which releases micro particles into the soil, helps to enrich it with this natural component. Copper tools are indestructible, they do not rust and last a lifetime. They also have the advantage of not dulling, so there is no need to sharpen them. Finally, they are also elegant, with the aesthetic of copper adding a noble and silky aspect. Copper tools, extremely long-lasting, are faithful companions to their owners for decades.

Dimensions: head fixed by a swan neck collar: 15 x 6cm (2in) - Handle length: 165cm (65in)

The weeder is a tool used to weed the soil by scraping and scratching the surface to eliminate weeds. It allows you to easily maintain your garden and vegetable patch, while preserving your back. It effortlessly clears the base of hedges, roses, bushes, and delineates cultivated spaces (paths, flower beds). Using a weeder has the advantage of preserving the environment by avoiding the use of chemical weed killers. Generally, weeding is done as soon as weeds appear, once a month for perennials and the vegetable garden, and 3 times a year (April, June, September) for flower beds. Its ergonomic shape and large size make it the ideal tool for large areas.

For proper maintenance of your tool, and because good tools make good gardeners, it is recommended to clean the blade after use by simply removing any weeds and soil that may be stuck to it. From time to time, especially at the end of the season when you are performing garden tool maintenance, use fine-grit sandpaper to clean and make the handle pleasant for the next use. The copper head is recyclable, and the handle is compostable.

PKS Bronze is an Austrian company specialized in the production of traditional tools made of copper alloy.

Directions for use The hoe is an essential tool for weeding between the rows and maintaining your garden or vegetable patch. Work after rain or watering, soil softened by moisture will greatly facilitate the weeding operation. It is also preferable to intervene on young plants, whose roots will be less developed and which will not have had time to reseed. The hoe is pushed into the ground at the neck of the plant (at the base of the leaves, at ground level), pulling on the handle, the blade fixed on a swan-necked socket cuts the weeds. To keep the beautiful appearance of your copper tool, we advise you to clean it with a hard brush after each use, store it away from moisture, and once a year, sand the handle with fine sandpaper and then oil it with a mixture of linseed oil and turpentine, which allows for easier application. You can dilute it half and half and for faster drying of the handle, use boiled linseed oil.
