Description
Lantana Bloomify™ Orange ('Baloomor') is a striking variety from the Bloomify series, renowned for its continuous flowering and hardiness. Certified 100% sterile, this annual plant dedicates all its energy to producing rounded clusters of flowers throughout the season. The inflorescences open to a bright sunny yellow and gradually take on vibrant orange hues as they mature. Perfect for flower beds and large containers, this lantana brings warmth and vitality to the garden or balcony from June until the first frosts.
Lantana 'Bloomify Orange' belongs to the verbena family, related to verbenas. The origins of its wild parent, Lantana camara, also known as common lantana or camara, lie in a vast area including Mexico, Central America, the Greater Antilles, the Bahamas, Colombia, and Venezuela. It has naturalised in many subtropical regions where it is considered invasive. It has given rise to numerous cultivars, including the sterile Bloomify hybrids, which do not produce seeds. These plants therefore, devote all their energy to flowering tirelessly, without the possibility of escaping into the wild. This compact, well-branched variety reaches 40 cm in height and width in a single season. Compared to standard varieties, it offers denser flowering and excellent branching. Later-flowering than the Lucky series, it begins flowering with a delay of 1 to 2 weeks but compensates with its sustained and long-lasting blooms.
Suited to sunny spots, this lantana thrives in light, well-drained, even poor or sandy soil. It is undemanding, just requiring moderate watering during periods of intense heat. Its heat resistance and low susceptibility to disease make it an easy-care plant.
Lantana Bloomify Orange pairs beautifully with plants in contrasting or complementary tones. For vibrant compositions, combine it with purple petunias, yellow calibrachoas, or red annual verbenas. In flower beds, it pairs perfectly with perennials like sages or light grasses such as Stipa tenuifolia, which add texture and movement to the display. With its compact habit, evolving flowers in warm tones, and uninterrupted flowering, it’s an ideal choice to brighten gardens and terraces all summer long.
Note: Please note, our plug plants are professional products intended for experienced gardeners. Upon receipt, transplant and store them under cover (conservatory, greenhouse, cold frame...) at a temperature above 14°C for a few weeks before planting them outdoors once the risk of frost has completely passed.

You can plant your Bloomify Lantanas in the ground or in pots. If planting them in the ground, wait until the last frosts have passed (they can tolerate a light frost). In the meantime, you can grow them on in pots in a warm and bright location to accelerate their growth. Plant your Lantanas in a sunny or partially shaded spot. They require a light, humus-rich soil and benefit from fertiliser. They can tolerate occasional dry spells. When grown in pots, they need regular watering. Typically grown as annuals, they are actually tender perennials: by bringing them indoors at the first frost, you can extend their flowering into autumn and winter. Outdoor cultivation is possible by the seaside, provided they are well mulched in winter. Light pruning in March is recommended.

Hardiness is the lowest winter temperature a plant can endure without suffering serious damage or even dying. However, hardiness is affected by location (a sheltered area, such as a patio), protection (winter cover) and soil type (hardiness is improved by well-drained soil).
