Thanks to the individuals (for order preparation and shipping), the bulbs received appear to be healthy. Planted near the rose "Nevada" and the roses "Princesse de Galles" & "Bordure Blanche", I am now patiently awaiting the spring growth (or lack thereof)..." Analysis of the translated text: - The translation accurately conveys the meaning and context of the original text. - The specific research area "order preparation and shipping" is correctly translated as "preparation of order and service expédition". - The botanical terms "rosier" and "bulbes" are translated as "rose" and "bulbs" respectively. - The names of the rose varieties "Nevada", "Princesse de Galles", and "Bordure Blanche" are left unchanged, as they are proper nouns. - The phrase "j'attends maintenant patiemment la reprise printanière (ou pas)..." is translated as "I am now patiently awaiting the spring growth (or lack thereof)...". The phrase "reprise printanière" refers to the regrowth or development of the planted bulbs in the spring. The addition of "(or lack thereof)" captures the possibility that the bulbs may not grow.

Description

Narcissus 'Ring of Fire' is named after the blazing ring of fire in the centre of its flower. Its magnificent pure white corolla is adorned with a remarkable red-orange cup. These contrasting colours bring vibrancy to your garden as soon as spring arrives. This daffodil is also perfect for creating bouquets.

Narcissus are perennial and very hardy, so you can count on them to return year after year without any problems. Plant them wherever you like, whether it's in lawns, rockeries, flower beds, or even in planters and pots.

Narcissus is toxic, so it's advisable to wash your hands after picking or handling them. The flower does not tolerate rain well.

For a little background, according to Greek mythology, Narcissus was a young man condemned by the gods to only love himself. When he saw his reflection in a fountain, he became entranced by his own image and ended up drowning. He then transformed into a flower.

Planting and care

Place Narcissus 'Ring of Fire' bulbs in full sun or partial shade. Very easy to grow, they can tolerate both the shade of woodland and a sunny flower bed. They prefer moist but well-drained soils. Plant them in autumn, 15cm (6in) deep and spaced 10cm (4in) apart. Group them in clusters of at least 5 bulbs, in patches of uniform colour or mixed.

You can plant them in lawns. In this case, lift the turf, dig and loosen the soil to a depth of at least 20cm (8in) (the length of a spade). Plant your bulbs, cover with soil and replace the turf. Choose a spot where you won't mow, as the daffodil leaves must wither before cutting them. The bulb uses the leaves to rebuild itself and prepare the flowers for the following year. However, remember to cut the flowers as soon as they fade to avoid seed formation. This would unnecessarily exhaust the bulb.

Cut the leaves when they have turned yellow and apply fertiliser at that time, not before. Maintain regular watering during the growing season and then let the soil dry out once the foliage is mature.
