One star. Ordered 19 young plants. All sick or burnt. It's a disgrace (I'm a landscaper).

Graden Merit
This large deciduous shrub produces panicles 30 to 40 cm long, in a vivid pink, whose honeyed fragrance attracts many butterflies. Its vigorous, full and arching growth is wonderful in a large border or an informal hedge. It flowers all summer in full sun, in well-drained soil, and tolerates drought once well established.

Planting and care

Buddleja ‘Pink Delight’ should be planted in full sun in any deeply loosened, perfectly drained soil. Autumn is suitable in most regions; choose March–April in areas with cold winters or heavy soils, but September–October in a Mediterranean climate. Water regularly during the first summer, then during long dry spells in the following year. A well-rooted plant will then do without frequent watering, but will flower for a shorter time if the soil remains very dry.

Care

Pruning instructions The shrub requires only a single pruning after flowering. However, every 2 to 3 years, it is advisable to cut back the branches to maintain a compact habit and so prevent the shrub from 'opening up'. In late winter, around March to April, remove half, or even two-thirds, of the branches and cut out all dead wood. Buddleias flower on the current year's wood, so you will not risk removing the flowers to come.
