Planting and care
Euphorbia polychroma ‘Purpurea’ is planted in spring or early autumn, preferably in full sun to obtain a compact habit and pronounced colours. Light partial shade also suits it. Plant it in a light, well-drained soil, even poor, stony or chalky. In heavy soil, incorporate gravel into the soil and choose a spot where water does not stand in winter. Water regularly during the first few months, then only during prolonged dry spells: a well-rooted plant copes well with drought. Avoid fertiliser applications, which encourage looser growth.
