The blade of this Spear & Jackson Push Hoe is a low-height rectangle with a very sharp edge, which scrapes and lifts the surface of the soil with formidable efficiency, and cleanly cuts unwanted weeds at the neck, just at the surface of the soil. Unlike a hoe, it penetrates the soil very little. The user handles this tool by pushing the blade in a wide, quick motion without applying too much pressure. The wooden handle is compostable, and the metal head is recyclable.
