Description
The Geranium Eureka Blue is a recent variety, particularly vigorous and floriferous. Its large blue-purple flowers, veined with purple, bloom for a long time, from May to September. It enjoys the sun but will also flower in light shade.
This hardy perennial geranium is a new hybrid derived from the Geranium 'Orion', which is already exceptional for its vigour and abundant flowering. The clump forms a ground covering dome 60 cm (24in) tall and at least as wide. Deciduous, the foliage is deeply cut and takes on beautiful red hues in autumn.
Very accommodating, Geranium Eureka Blue will brighten up flowerbeds in any good garden soil that is not too dry in summer, or too heavy. It will accompany bush roses perfectly in a classic garden, but also in a more rustic setting, with nepetas, Stachys grandiflora, or Persicaria affinis 'Superba' as edging plants. It will also look stunning with fine-leaved grasses such as Deschampsia cespitosa or Molinia arundinacea.

Planting and care
Plant your perennial Geranium Eureka Blue in the sun or partial shade in spring and autumn. Plant it in well-drained, fairly moist soil, but it is not a demanding plant and easy to grow. Remove faded flowers and leaves to encourage new shoots.
