Description

Bouteloua gracilis is a lovely grass forming dense clumps of fine, very stiff and upright foliage which is slightly bluish green and bears small brown spikes, which are curiously arranged horizontally.

This ornamental grass likes very dry soil, even poor and sandy soil, in full sun. In heavy soil, it does not live as long, so it is advisable to plant it in a rockery or on a sloping bank.
