Sophistication in the garden
Contents
The Daylilies or Hemerocallis are single flowers that are easy to grow. They are low-maintenance, yet many of them have a sophisticated appearance. Among the numerous varieties of Hemerocallis, many styles coexist: sometimes very simple and natural-looking, they can also be quite original and complex in appearance, with a certain level of detail. Here is a selection of “Day Lilies” featuring sometimes award-winning, original varieties with qualities of vigour and floribundity. The selection leans towards pastel and tangy colours. Discover these charming and original ladies!
Hemerocallis 'Roswitha'
Discover a miniature variety, the Hemerocallis ‘Roswitha’, which is highly floriferous, producing small flowers of 8 cm, well double. Its colour ranges from peach to salmon with a purple eye and a green throat. The numerous petals are thick, crinkled, iridescent with undulating edges. They shimmer in the sun. The plant measures 30 to 35 cm in all directions and blooms in early summer, in June and July.
Imagine a miniature display at the border or in a pot with lavender-coloured Nepetas, small bulbs of Lily, perennial Flax, and silver foliage like Cineraria, for example.
