The double early tulip 'Red Baby Doll', a satin bright red
The double early tulip ‘Red Baby Doll’ is notable for blooming early in April and producing double corolla flowers in a lovely satin bright red. Supported by a short yet sturdy stem of 30 cm in height, it lasts well in the garden as well as in a vase. Moreover, the tulips all bloom at the same height, which is appreciated by fans of regular beds.

With its crimson red dress, glossy texture, and gracefully curved pointed petals, the Lily-flowering tulip ‘Moneymaker’ certainly knows how to stand out. Its flowers bloom in May, taking the shape of stars, atop glaucous grey-green foliage, which is finer than that of other tulips. Standing at 40 cm tall, it withstands the elements well. Although its stem may appear fragile, it is nonetheless sturdy and offers a habit suitable for borders and cut flower arrangements.
This excellent variety has been awarded the Gold Medal in the plant world in England. In a border, pair it with other white Lily-flowering tulips like the ‘Sapporo’ variety or bicoloured ones, such as ‘Marilyn’. It also pairs beautifully with blue forget-me-nots and candytuft, which carpet the ground at its feet.

At a height of 90 cm, the late single tulip ‘Sky High Scarlet’ is among the tallest tulips and can even be considered a giant. It blooms in May and June, producing classic-shaped, large flowers in a beautiful scarlet red. To top it all off, they are also slightly fragrant and last well in a vase.
